Former President turned Pampanga 2nd district Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo briefly showed up at the sandiganbayan today to attend a hearing of the graft case against her in connection with the nbn zte deal. the former leader was excused from the rest of the hearing because of her medical condition. this is what her spokesman and Chief of Staff, Elena Bautista Horn, had to say,
“Nag ‘out on pass’ lang si Ma’am kasi ayaw.payagan ng Doctors lumabas. We had to submit a waiver to VMMC. This (note: referring to decision to attend hearing at Sandiganbayan) is out of mams respect sa court.
She was later on excused (by the court) after making sure that she has a signed spa (Special Power of Attorney) for her lawyers. She went straight to vmmc after Sandiganbayan. She has scheduled physical thrapy today.”
