Vice President and HUDCC Chair Jejomar Binay announces that the PAG IBIG fund has effectively cut by half the interest rate per annum that will be payed by members availing of the agency’s calamity loan.

HAZING

Vice President jejomar Binay admits he was also subjected to hazing when he was a student, but he now blames weak law enforcement for the continued incidence of hazing related deaths.

Binay notes at least one case of hazing is stuck in the preliminary investugation  phgase because the witnesses have all started to disappear.

Vice President Jejomar Binay disputes claims by Commission on Audit Commissioner Heidi Mendoza that she her agency’s audit of Binay’s projects as Makati City mayor are merely initial.
Binay says Mendoza is auditing matters that have already passed scrutiny by the COA in the past.

Binay notes he is merely reacting to news paper reports about Mendoza’s alleged initial audit of the projects, pointing out that Mendoza’s audit is already the 2^nd time such an audit will be done as an initial audit was already done during the incumbency of former President Gloria Arroyo.
