Commission on Elections Chairman Sixto Brillantes maintained that today, July 18, is the last day for the general registration of voters in the autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

in a statement to ABS-CBN, Brillantes said, “no extension of registration in all arm provinces. rumors on extension not true.”

similarly, COMELEC Education and Information Director James Jimenez said, “There has been no extension of ARMM Gen. Registration. Today is the last day.”

as of Monday, an estimated 940 thousand people had already registered as voters in the arm. registration began Monday last week and is set to end today.

this will be followed by the cleansing of the voters list to get rid off illegal registrants.

the poll body officials are in the ARMM now to oversee the registration.

The House of Representatives spent P57M for the expansion of the main plenary hall building to accommodate a bigger lounge, offices and meeting rooms for congressmen and their staff.

the 3 floor expansion at the backs of both the north and south wings was completed in 38 days in time for the opening of the 3^rd regular session of the 15^th Congress on July 23, 2012.

Speaker Sonny Belmonte said, “this place gets filled up with people during session days we wanted another place that can be used by various vips so we can keep south lounge as exclusive congressional place.”
