REMANDED

The SandiganBayan 2^nd Division  has effectively remanded the graft case against former First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo back to the Office of the Ombudsman.

in a hearing Thursday, the division favored Arroyo’s motion to file a motion for reconsideration of the case with leave of court. it gave Arroyo until Friday to file the MR with the office of the Ombudsman.

Arroyo’s camp had argued that the case was filed even before the deadline to file an MR has lapsed.

A Magsaysay versus Magsaysay race looms for the senate after Zambales Rep. Mitos Magsaysay confirmed that relative former senator Jun Magsaysay is being persuaded by the Liberal Party to run in next year’s senatorial elections.
